Week 9 marked the first bobble rainout of the season. Ordinarily I would just shrug it off, but since I was headed to the Wilmington Everett Teaford giveaway before the arrival of Noah’s ark, I’m just venting here. BTW new date on that is still TBA. Onto Week 10:
Memphis Redbirds 6/8/09 Stubby Clapp – Didn’t Jimmy Dugan say to avoid the clapp? His 2nd Redbirds honor for this canadian.
Lakewood BlueClaws 6/9/09 Lou Marson (Made it to the Phillies) – First 2,000 – Late season callup in 08 and saw some time this season as well in Philly.
Sioux Falls Canaries 6/10/09 Mike Miller – Born in the area, now an NBA star with the Timberwolves.
Houston Astros 6/11/09 Roy Oswalt – First 10,000 – The ace of the staff, aka the wizard…He’s wearing a warlock cap and costume in this rendition.
Madison Mallards 6/11/09 Maynard G. Mallard (Evolution)(Mascot) – First 1,000 – This unique triple bobble portrays Maynard from baby duckling to full fledged Mallard. Note: only the adult bobbles.
Clearwater Threshers 6/12/09 Pat Burrell – First 1,000 – The 08 Phillies championship series continues.
Daytona Cubs 6/12/09 Geovany Soto – First 1,000 – Nice honor for the 2008 NL ROY.

West Michigan Whitecaps 6/12/09 Rick Leach – Popular Tiger alumnus which includes an autograph session.
Cleveland Indians 6/13/09 Shin-Soo Choo – Imagine if you will, a Korean in an 80’s style zoot suit, standing on a “Simon” board game. Interesting to say the least.
Pittsburgh Pirates 6/13/09 Honus Wagner Figurine – Hopefully this trinket makes fans forget the McLouth trade.
Quad Cities River Bandits 6/13/09 Brett Wallace – Cardinals draft pick destined for stardom soon.
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes 6/13/09 Hank Conger – 1st round pick back in 2006 now in AA ball with Arkansas.

Tulsa Drillers 6/13/09 Juan Gonzalez/Ruben Sierra/Sammy Sosa Triple – First of 3 triple bobbles the Drillers do this season. This one features stars of the 80’s.
Beloit Snappers 6/14/09 Kyle Murphy – First 500 – Kyle Murphy is a Turner High School native and was drafted by the Texas Rangers.
Tampa Bay Rays 6/14/09 Dioner Navarro – Kids 14 and under – Rays are doing a set of bobbles for the kids. This first time all-star is the first one.
