A Programming Note For Tomorrow

A potential note of interest for our readers: on Tuesday afternoon at three o’clock, I’ll be joining members of the local media at Merchantsauto.com Stadium in Manchester for a Media Homerun Derby.  The event was suggested by WGAM Radio hosts Mike Mutnansky and Rich Keefe and organized by Fisher Cats Director of Media Relations Mike Murphy.

I don’t think I’ve swung a bat in anger in two years.  There’s no way this can end badly.  Hopefully my partner, my cousin Tom, eats his Wheaties and makes some magic happen.

I’ll have more on the contest and events leading up to it (including the story of how I lucked into participating) in a day or two, but I wanted to mention it now in case anyone wants to tune in.  Mutnansky and Keefe do their show on weekdays from 3-6 PM and I believe are planning to broadcast live from the stadium.  Just go to the link above and click on “Listen Live” to see what they have to say.

If you do listen and feel like mocking my performance, feel free to do so in the comments of this post.  Chances are good that I’ll deserve your scorn.

  1. This is almost as exciting as the time Jay Bruce knew our name for ten seconds.
